The sister arts of poetry and music have been melded and married in many ways over time. Examples range from the Art Song within the classical music tradition to Turn Turn Turn, a section of the book of Ecclesiastes, set to music by Pete Seeger in the 1950s, and made popular by The Byrds.
TresNoctambule and Kyle Alden continue in this time-honored tradition, bringing their own unique musical sensibilities to the endeavor. Their skill at casting poems into beautiful songs, along with their thoughtful and moving vocal and instrumental delivery, offer the listener the opportunity to hear both familiar and unfamiliar poems in potentially new ways.
This will be a special evening for lovers of poetry, for lovers of music, and for adventurous spirits of all sorts.

It's taken us a while, but we finally are going to do a proper release for A Sweetish Tune! We are very proud of this project -- our third, and a thematic departure from our previous two, this one centers around traditional Irish music and the sounds of our instruments in a variety of combinations and conversations.
And since we have not been sitting on our hands since we finished the project, we have another release to celebrate. We have been working up both new and familiar repertoire as a trio with Suzuki Cady. Suzuki adds her gorgeous 5-string violin and her sparkling voice to the tableau, expanding the Noctambule sound with more varied string textures and rich three part harmonies. It is so very much more Noctambule, it is Tres Noctambule!
